What if you could stand on the hottest planet in our solar system? Well… you couldn’t. It’s Venus, and it’s way too hot.

Introduction
Welcome to our latest space update! Today, we’re talking about Venus—Earth’s mysterious, blazing hot twin. If you’ve ever wondered what makes this nearby planet so wild and extreme, you’re in the right place!
What is Venus?
Venus is the second planet from the Sun, and it's our closest neighbor in space. It may be similar in size to Earth, but that’s where the similarities end—it’s much hotter and stormier! Because of this, scientists jokingly call it Earth’s evil twin.
Why is it Called Venus?
Long ago, the Romans named the brightest planets after their gods. Venus was named after the goddess of love and beauty. It’s also the only planet named after a female god.
Could Anything Live There?
Venus is much too hot for people or animals to survive on its surface. But high up in its clouds, temperatures are cooler. Scientists are curious—maybe tiny space germs called microbes could live there someday?
How Big is Venus?
Venus is nearly the same size as Earth, just a bit smaller. It’s also closer to the Sun than Earth—about 67 million miles away. That’s a big reason why Venus gets so much sunlight and heat!
How Long is a Day on Venus?
One single day on Venus takes 243 Earth days! That’s actually longer than its year, which is only 225 Earth days. And interestingly, the Sun rises in the west and sets in the east there—the opposite of Earth.
Does Venus Have a Moon?
Nope! Venus doesn’t have a moon. But it does have something strange: a little space rock called Zoozve that orbits Venus and the Sun. It got its name from a spelling mistake on a kid’s solar system poster!
Does Venus Have Rings?
No, Venus doesn’t have any rings.
Summary
Venus is Earth’s near-twin in size but not in personality—it’s incredibly hot and completely unlivable. Still, it’s a fascinating planet with a few cosmic quirks that keep scientists curious.
Fun fact
A day on Venus is longer than its year, and that’s just one of its many strange qualities!
